Hapkido Black Belt Registration Fee: $60 (All Dan Grades)

     The Chun Moo Hapkido USA Association is proud to recognize all Hapkido systems, traditional and eclectic. The reason being is that all Hapkido systems are similar, in that they contain the following techniques: break falls, blocking, striking, kicking, locking, throwing and weapon disarming. The main differences in Hapkido schools is the curriculum in which these techniques are taught. One Hapkido school may have a heavier emphasis on a particular set of Hapkido techniques than the others. Other Hapkido schools may have techniques of other martial arts augmented into their curriculum to offer their Hapkido students a broader array of skills. This Hapkido Association does not interfere with the curriculum of our instructor members. You know what is best for your students, and we are honored to offer you Hapkido certified instructor member recognition and Hapkido rank advancement. 

     Hapkido Instructors world wide can apply for registration and rank advancement by printing and completing the Hapkido Black Belt Registration / Rank Advancement form and sending the form along with the $60 fee to the address on the form. You will receive a Chun Moo Hapkido Black Belt Dan certificate signed by the President and with official association seals. Remember that once you register you are a "Lifetime Member". You will never have to pay to renew your membership. Ever!!! We are not like other organizations that try to get rich off their Instructors. We exist to unite, organize and support Hapkido instructors and students in order to promote the art.

     Are you an instructor without an organization to support you? This is more common than you would think. Teachers retire, relocate or pass away, leaving many black belt instructors stuck at their current rank and with zero resources. We would be honored to have you as a member. If it has been many years since your last rank advancement, we will allow for that time to count. 
Here is how it works: When you register, fill in the "Years since 1st degree Black Belt" line, then calculate the rank you should request by using our "Time in Grade" guidelines listed below. Then request that rank. Mail the registration form and fee to us for registration. Thats it! We will be happy to honor your time and experience.

1st Degree Black Belt: 3 years training.
2nd Degree Black Belt: 2 years after 1st Degree.
3rd Degree Black Belt: 3 years after 2nd Degree.
4th Degree Black Belt: 4 years after 3rd Degree.
5th Degree Black Belt: 5 years after 4th Degree.
6th Degree Black Belt: 6 years after 5th Degree.
7th Degree Black Belt: 7 years after 6th Degree.
8th Degree Black Belt: 8 years after 7th Degree.
9th Degree Black Belt: 9 years after 8th Degree.
10th Degree Black Belt: 10 years after 9th Degree.

If you are a founder of your own unique style of Hapkido, we will be honored to sponsor your Hapkido style and certify your rank and title as "Grandmaster/Founder" of that system.

Student Registration:

 (Grades below Black Belt  / Gup Grade Practitioners)
Registration Fee: $25

Hapkido students below the grade of Black Belt are welcome to register for Hapkido student membership. Complete the student registration form, then send it and the registration fee to the address on the form and you will receive a Chun Moo Hapkido USA Association Gup certificate with your Hapkido rank and with official seal signed by the President. If you have no instructor, and wish to continue your Hapkido training, we will assist you in finding a qualified Hapkido instructor in your area. Note: The instructor may or may not be one of our members.

Payment Method: We only accept U.S. currency, U.S. Money Orders, and personal checks from U.S. banks. Sorry! We do not accept credit cards or personal checks from outside the United States.
