Instructor Certification:

Black Belt members and new applicants can register for Instructor certification. Simply complete the "Request Appointment" line on the registration form and send the appropriate fee and the form to the address on the form. You will be awarded an official association "Letter of Appointment" certificate signed by the association President, granting you your official title.

Note: We only issue instructor appointments to registered black belt members.
 
*Please note the following guidelines when applying:

Black Belt Instructor: $50 Applicant must be 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th degree black belt grades.
 
Black Belt Master Instructor: $50 Applicant must be 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th degree black belt grades.

Grandmaster ( Not a Founder): $50 Applicant must be 9th or 10th degree black belt grades.
 
Grandmaster/Founder Appointment:  $110.00
 
(includes both Founder's Appointment $50.00 and $60.00 Black Belt registration)
 
If you have founded your own unique system of Hapkido, or related martial art our organization will sponsor and recognize your new style and your title as 1st Generation Grandmaster of that system. The founder of a system must fill out the registration form giving the name of the system for the Appointment and apply to register the Grandmaster/Founder's black belt rank and submit a copy of the new style's curriculum. The Chun Moo Hapkido USA organization is one of only a handful of organizations in the US that will recognize and sponsor the founding of a new martial arts system and it's 1st Generation Grandmaster. Founder's black belt grades will be determined by their age and years of experience. Depending on these factors a Founder could be granted any grade from 7th to 10th Degree Black Belt. Generally a founder is graded to 7th degree black belt. When Grandmaster Jessee issues the Founder his or her new grade he sets the date that the new founder is eligible for their next rank advancement. This is done out of respect for older more experienced Grandmasters. It should be noted that if a new system and it's Grandmaster are to be respected respect has to be given first.

School Charters:

School Charter: One time Fee $50

Registered Black Belt Instructor members who have a school or club may register to become an officially recognized Chun Moo Hapkido USA Charter Member School. This requires a one time fee of $50. Just like the Black Belt registration, the Charter is for life! You will never pay an annual renewal fee like with other organizations. Your students will be eligible for all the same benefits that you enjoy as a registered instructor. As you test and promote your students, you will be authorized to award your students official Chun Moo Hapkido USA student rank certificates signed and sealed by the President and with an "Instructor " line for your signature beside his. The fee for these beautiful certificates is only $10.00 per certificate. Give your students an unequaled sense of pride in their accomplishments. The official Charter on the wall of your school informs new students and visitors that they are speaking with a true martial arts professional and in a professional environment, which will aid in the growth of the enrollment of your school. We also enjoy presenting other annual awards that you and your school will be eligible for, such as: School of the Year, Instructor of the Year, Master Instructor of the Year and Grandmaster/Founder of the Year, Assistant Instructor and Student of the Year awards as well. Charter School Instructors have use of the Chun Moo Hapkido USA website. You may submit photos to the gallery, submit articles and stories for the quarterly newsletter, as well as list your school's special announcements, events, rank advancements and tournament results. If your school has its own website we will supply a link from your school's listing in our directory.
Registered instructors just print and complete the "Student Rank Advancement Form". Send the form and $10.00 fee per student and all the certificates will be prepared and sent to you for your signature.
